A special effects guru?
What do all of these films have in common? The fact that the amazing special effects guru Mike Kelt from a company based outside London called Artem, did the sepcial effects on each of these films!
Be it building castles to blow them up, setting cars on fire, filming underwater fights, or capturing the filmic devastation in slow motion, or even building replica bodies for actors - you name it, Mike has done it.
Learn his tricks of the trade by joining us for an exclusive chat - invaluable for those of you who'd like to work in the British film industry when the time comes!
Join us at 5pm Friday 8 April and ask any and all questions you'd like (you can even leave questions now for him to answer on the day!)

Hop is out soon and we have it on very good authority that the film absolutely rocks!
Jack, our Screenthing reviewer, attended a special press screening to find out what the film is all about. We wanted to share his review with you and give you the chance to win one of ten pairs of bunny ears shown above! Cute, eh? All you need to do is tell us your fave movie bunny. E.B? Thumper? Bugs? Tell us your fave and if you're one of the first ten to comment - the ears are all yours :)

Jack's review:
Hop! such a small word to sum up such a big basket of joy. Hop is an imaginative easter movie that more than fills the time gap between oscar bait and summer blockbusters. its a fun ride from start to to end that will have both adults and children laughing. the animation aspect of the movie is well done and the clarity and detail in the characters is perfect. James Marsden shows his comedic talent on this role however the spotlight cannot be taken away from the animated lead of E.B (voiced by Russel Brand). Overall Hop is energetic and jumping with life and is a good addition to the animated family. So 'hop' down to your nearest cinema.

Last November we asked you talented Screenthing bunch to draw us a picture of Mama Odie from Disney's Princess and the Frog, to have the chance to win a trip to Disneyland Paris. The picture competition was judged by the amazing animator Andreas Deja, who created Mama Odie.
Here's our lucky winner, Erin, enjoying her animators master class - well done! Join with us in congratulating Erin, and our amazing runner up, Nicole. Their entries are below. Well done! :)

Comments from Andreas:
This portrait of Mama Odie and Juju is drawn in a fun graphic style.
The outlines are very clean, I like the shiny effect on her jewellery.
Nice job.

Comments from Andreas:
We see Mama Odie as well as other characters she interacts with in the movie.
Mama Odie even creates a vision of Tiana and Naveen.
This illustration has a moody atmosphere and shows great use of color.
Very imaginative.

Princess and theFrog,
Disneyland Paris.
The Eagle premiered in Leicester Square yesterday - that's Jamie Bell (Billy Elliot) and Channing Tatum's new film, filmed in chilly Scotland!
We have some pics for you to enjoy, but nest week, we'll be running a webchat on www.facebook.com/screenthing with the clever brains behind the special effects in the film. If you have a burning question, then let us know!
